Christ’s Gift
Our Shared Identity

“…seeking to bear witness to that unity which is both Christ’s gift and will for the Church..”

Paragraph 1, Basis of Union

The question of ‘identity’ has been a feature of the Act2 Project since the first ASC resolution that commissioned this work.6 Since the decision of the 16th Assembly, this question has been pursued through two lenses. The first is discerning, clarifying and strengthening our national identity, which many have understood to mean our shared identity as the Uniting Church. The second is our theological culture.7
