Rev Dr Peter Hobson, a long-serving minister in the Uniting Church since 1997 and ordained as a Minister of the Word in 2006, Rev Dr Peter Hobson brings extensive experience across multiple ministry contexts. His roles have included Youth Worker, University Chaplain, Aged Care Chaplain, Community Care Chaplain, School Chaplain, Congregation Minister, Dean of Formation, Superintendent Minister, and currently Resource Worker for the Northern Regional Christian College (NRCC).
Rev Dr Hobson has substantial governance experience, serving on committees and boards at all levels of the Church, including the Assembly Working Group on Doctrine and Theology, and on various ecumenical and community boards, including co-chairing the Queensland Community Alliance. In his current role, he collaborates with Nungalinya lecturers to deliver non-accredited courses for NRCC members on UCA polity, ministry formation, and professional development, strengthening the Church’s mission and formation pathways across the region.
