Rev Simon Hansford has been the Moderator of the Uniting Church Synod of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory since 2017. Simon holds qualifications in Arts and Theology. He has served in ordained ministry for more than twenty-five years in communities across New South Wales, including Dubbo, Queanbeyan and Tamworth. He was a Presbytery Minister in the New England North West Presbytery. The rural church has a significant place in Simon’s heart, informing much of his understanding of service, theology and community and thus, how the gospel is articulated with integrity.
