Rev Janet Staines is currently serving as General Secretary of the Northern Synod, working directly with Synod and Presbytery governance processes. Her previous experience includes serving as Presbytery Chair of the Moreton Rivers Presbytery in Queensland and as congregational minister at Chermside Kedron Uniting Church regional congregation. Currently navigating the renegotiation of the Northern Synod’s governance structure to a three-model council, which provides valuable insight that can inform the Commission’s work while allowing representation of Northern Synod’s specific needs.
