Nathan Tyson currently serves as Head of First Peoples Strategy and Engagement, Uniting Mission and Education, within the Synod of NSW and the ACT, and is Co-Chair of the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress NSW/ACT. An experienced executive leader, lawyer and advocate, he brings strategic and governance expertise across policy, program development, stakeholder engagement, and First Peoples strategy. A committed Christian and member of the Uniting Church in Australia, Nathan has helped shape and implement the Church’s Walking Together Action Plans, supporting justice, reconciliation and partnership with First Peoples. He has also contributed to the wider life of the Church through previous leadership roles, including Co-Chair of UnitingCare Australia’s First Peoples’ Community of Practice and service on the Assembly Business Committee.
