Kevin was raised in the United Kingdom in the Methodist tradition and joined the Uniting Church in 2000. He lived and worked in the Middle East for 15 years before sensing a strong call to return home to Brisbane in 2018. He joined the core team of a Church Plant (Newlife Brisbane) and did some voluntary consulting for the Board and CEO of a Global Mission Organisation. With a professional career in the airline industry prior to this, he feels blessed to have worked around the world for global businesses in in different executive roles – typically leading large teams through periods of change and transformation. In 2021 he re-entered the corporate world on the Executive Team of a major Retirement Living company, where he was Chief Strategy and Digital Officer. He was then fortunate to be called to his current role within the Synod in Queensland. His gifts revolve around Strategy, Change and Leadership. In offering to support Act2, he hopes he can support the renewal of the Church. In joining the Steering Committee, he does so with a humble posture, knowing that while he brings corporate skills and experience, he is still learning.
